Our site has been revised and upgraded. These upgrades provide you with not only a new look, but also improved navigability through the site, a new research tool in Google™ Scholar and new substantive material.
We have added a new section on Drug and Medical Device issues and are very pleased to introduce this section with a full article authored by Scott Smith of Halleland, Lewis, Nilan & Johnson. Scott has represented corporations in public nuisance litigation over the last 22 years in addition to having a practice in the drug and device area. We look forward to Scott’s contributions to Nuisance Law in the days to come.
We have also added a new section devoted to the use and misuse of public nuisance law in environmental matters. While Climate Change litigation is an important part of this new section, we will provide additional content for environmental issues such as EPA regulation and the role of public nuisance law, if any, in air, water and waste issues.
An important addition to this new version of Nuisance Law is spotlighting our contributors and their firms. NuisanceLaw is a collaborative effort and we appreciate the continued support of our contributors. We are pleased to spotlight David Axelrad of the California law firm of Horvitz & Levy. David is the premier thought leader on the inappropriate use of contingency fee counsel by governmental entities and has written extensively on this topic.
Finally, while NuisanceLaw.com will continue publishing Learning Modules, we will, when appropriate, begin publishing articles that are more in the vein of “law review” articles. We are excited about this development and providing our readers with more in-depth coverage of this important issue.
Please enjoy Nuisance Law. We look forward to your ideas and comments.
