- Description
Michael Nilan is a founder and shareholder of the firm Halleland Lewis Nilan & Johnson, P.A., whose practice focuses on complex product liability, toxic tort and commercial litigation. Mike has served as an adjunct professor of law at William Mitchell College of Law and is a frequent instructor with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is an active trial lawyer, having tried numerous product liability, personal injury and commercial cases to defense verdicts. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics for the past 15 years.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in physiology and Master of Science in environmental health from the University of Minnesota. He served as an officer in the United States Navy as an industrial hygienist and toxicologist before obtaining his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1979, where he was an editor of the University of Minnesota Law Review.
